What if you had to get braces how do you think it would affect your life? Well this is how it affected mine. I have to work harder to play my instrument, I can not eat some of my favorite foods, and I have to brush my teeth better. Braces are hard but somehow, I think I’ll get through it.
One way braces affected me is that I have to work harder to play my clarinet. First of all, it’s hard to get a good tone because you have a mouth full of metal. Also my cheeks keep puffing up when I try to play, but it is really hard to keep my ombature firm. That is why I have to work harder to play my clarinet.
As a result of getting braces, I can not eat some of my favorite foods, because they will get stuck in or break my braces. These are a few of the many things that I should not eat. Some sticky foods are sugary gum, caramels, taffy, and many more. Some hard foods are nuts, ice, kernels from popcorn, corn chips, and also many more. Those are just a few of the many things that I should not eat with braces.
Another way braces affected my life is that I have to brush my teeth better. Even if I used to brush my teeth good, now I have to brush even better! I have all of these tools to help me brush. I also have to use a special tooth brush, and brush a certain way. It is a pain sometimes but that’s what I get for having braces.
Braces are good and bad but I guess that’s just how life is. Braces had a big effect on my life, and well at least one day my teeth will be straight. J

How 4-H Improved My Life
Have you ever been asked a question like “Do you know the breed of your animal?” ….. I have, but I never could answer their question because I didn’t know the answer. That’s why my mom signed me up for 4-H. 4-H improved my life by teaching me a lot of cool stuff. For example, it taught me how to take care of my animals.
People helped me learn about my animals and how to handle them. It taught me how to take care of my animals if they become sick or hurt. It also taught me how to feed them and how to clean their cages. It taught me how to work on a team and become a team leader. Did you know there are curtain 4-H groups that teach kids how to become leaders?
I learned how to study my work with a partner. It taught me how to help a friend by taking care of their animal while they’re gone. While being in 4-H I learned how to believe in myself and not to worry about the things around me. I also learned why to LOVE 4-H. But 4-H doesn’t just teach you all these things. It can also teach kids how to feel good about themselves and be a leader.
4-H prepares young people to step up to the challenges in their community and the world. Using research-based programming around positive youth development, 4-H youth get the hands-on real world experience they need to become leaders. A world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change.
At first I was sad that my parents got divorced. But as a result, as soon as I joined 4-H, I felt so much better, and I finally feel FREE! That’s how 4-H improved my life. P.S. 4-H is awesome!

How I Broke My Finger, and How It Affected My Life.
Has your brother or any sibling in your family broken your finger? If not well my brother broke mine. I remember I was about three years old. Cody {my brother} and I were watching TV in the living room. While my dad was in the kitchen doing work on his computer.
At the time my mother was at the store. And not long after that my brother Cody and I were fighting over the remote. Cody wanted to watch Spongbob. But I wanted to watch Dora the explorer. So Cody ripped the remote out of my hand, and turned on his show. I was little at the time so of course I started to cry. I wouldn’t stop, so my brother got so mad that he grabbed my hand and broke my finger. That’s when I screamed really loud, at the same time my mom walked in. My mom ran over with my dad, picked me up, and saw that my finger was in a really bad place.
So my mom of course yelled at my brother. Then we all got in the in the car to go to the hospital. The doctor told us that it was indeed broken. The doctor also told us that he doesn’t really get customers with a fractured finger. He also told us some facts about a finger fracture. Like a finger fracture is most commonly caused by a direct blow to the finger.
Like playing a game and say you fall down. You know like that. Also that fractures in children younger than 1 years of age are uncommon because their bones are flexible. Also some signs and symptoms of a finger fracture. Like if there’s pain, bruising, or swelling. Or weakness, and numbness. Also if you have trouble moving the finger, or if the finger looks abnormally shaped.
After that we went home. My brother was grounded for two weeks. I got ice-cream. And that’s what happened when I was three years old.

How Baseball Affected My Life
Have you ever been in the position 2 outs in the last inning? You make a mistake games over. To strikes go by you have to fight the pitches off. Baseball affected my life so I can catch a ball and use my reflexes. My position is second base.
I learned a lot about baseball like how to play on a team. I would play short stop and that was the leader. As the leader I called the fly balls. Short stop takes responsibility to run the team.
At second base is important position. You field lots of ground balls as an affect you get lots of outs. At second base you can turn a double play. The double play is one of the most exciting plays in baseball.
Being pitcher takes lots of responsibility. You have lots of responsibility as a pitcher. You have to throw strike. MLB pitchers weird pitches that they can throw accurate. MLB people can throw faster then a speeding car.
Being a good player you can’t be good when you pick up the bat. It takes practice and you need play a lot. To be a pitcher it takes practice to throw strikes.

How Taking Care of My Sister Affected My Life
Have you ever had to take care of your baby sister or brother? Well I have. I took care of my baby sister when my mom had to go somewhere or do something. While I took care of my baby sister I learned many things.
One of the things I learned was how to have patience. my baby sister would cry and I would give her her bottle of milk but she wouldn’t want it, then I remembered that if you give it to her slowly and would be very patience she would calm down, so I tried it did work she then fell asleep.
Another thing I learned was that you always have to be very gentle to babies. I of course didn’t know how to carry them or hold their head so it didn’t hang. My mom taught me how to carry my baby sister but it took me a long time to learn how. I first had to carry her, but grab her little head because she would throw her head backward. Then my mom taught me how to carry back to her bed when she fell asleep.
However my mom also taught me how to clean up after them. My sister used to throw her food out when she didn’t like it so I had to clean it up. Of course I had to learn how to change a diaper, it was pretty gross.I used to change my sisters diapers when my mom couldn’t do it herself which was almost always.
In conclusion, I learned many things when I took care of my sister. How to clean up after them, have patience, and how to be very gentle with them. It took all of work but I got used to it.

How AVID Improved My Life
You have the envelope in your hand it's all about if you go in or not. You open it and you jump around saying, "Yes I got in Avid " your teacher congratulates you.A.V.I.D stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. Avid has improved my life by many ways.
Avid has improved my life by many ways like improving my grades at school. Here are some examples I stayed after school in my classes therefore it helped me get my grades up in all of my classes. Then I paid more attention to the teacher as a result it helped me understand everything better. Also I've been checking on my grades every week so I know what my grades are in every class.
Another thing Avid helps me on is that it helps me get ready for college. One way it helps me get ready for college is that we have something called a college chat is were we talk about colleges and when they were found and other things about that college. Then when you are in high school it helps you get in college or early college.
It has also taught me team work with new people that I never meet before. It has taught me team work by partner and T.R. F 's on Wednesday's another thing is that you get to do presentations with people you want and with people you hardly ever talk to.
In conclusion Avid has helped me in many things such as my grades in classes, team work, and it will help me get in college or early college.
